If you are overweight and would like to burn fat and drop some pounds, one of the most obvious solutions is to start a vigorous exercise routine that will help build muscle, which is the best way to burn fat.

What many people don't realize is that there are also certain types of foods that can help you burn fat and lose weight.

When you add these to your diet, and combine them with exercise, you will almost certainly begin to burn the fat from your body.

Foods that help you burn fat do so because they help to increase your metabolism, which is exactly what you want to happen.

Some of these foods include green tea, and water. Water helps to flush you system so that your body functions are working properly, while green tea actually helps you to increase the amount of calories that your body burns.

If you drink plenty of water every day, and either take green tea supplements or drink two to three cups of green tea on a daily basis, you will find that your body will burn a lot more calories, even as your diet and activity level stay the same.

Another way in which you can help your body to burn fat is to change from regular milk and yogurt to skim milk and low fat yogurt.

When you reduce the amount of fat you are taking into your body, you are also blocking a hormone that your body creates that is meant to store fat. The less fat you store, the more weight you will be getting rid of with your diet efforts.

For the fastest results to weight loss you will not just want to rely on fat burning foods, you will want to start a low calorie, but nutritious diet.

If you lower your calorie intake slightly, while at the same time you increase your activity level with exercise, you will see some fast weight loss results.

There really is no short cut to lose weight, but the old fashion method is usually your best bet, and you will see some real results.
